Fara was having a hens night on the same night as Urs was having his ‘’last night of freedom’’. Roberta, Cydalia, Laura and Karen were all there. Although only Cydalia and Karen were drinking. Roberta and Fara were currently pregnant and Laura was still on one type of medication for her sex change.
Like at Urs’ night, Roberta too had decided to introduce the ‘’Confession time’’ game. She and Seb had worked the game out before hand. Wanting to know any little secrets their friends had that might in its own weird way help spice up their own sex life.
‘You go first then.’ Fara told her, laughing with nerves.
‘OK.’ Roberta smiled, ‘well…I must admit, I never knew sex in the shower could get you pregnant.’ she confessed.
‘Honey, you have enough unproductive sex you can get pregnant anywhere!’ Karen told her while hugging her.
‘It was our first time…not using anything too.’ Roberta then said, blushing slightly. So much for using condoms every time they had sex! She was surprised Fara hadn’t had a go at her for that then. Then again, Fara was also now pregnant too, due to unproductive sex so she could hardly have too much of a moan. Not that she would. Fara was a good friend to Roberta that is why she was her best friend. Even better friend then Seb was. And Seb was now her husband.
‘Spot on Sebbie!’ Karen laughed.
‘Hey.’ Roberta realised, ‘great nickname for him!’ it rhymed Roberta noticed. Spot on Sebbie! She should remember to tell him that one. He’d like that.
‘Me next.’ Karen then volunteered.
‘We’re waiting.’ Roberta winked at her older sister.

‘Don’t know if this can, but…’ Laura smiled.
‘We’re waiting.’ Roberta smiled at her.

‘But we thought you’d always wanted to sleep with men.’ Fara told her.
‘I did. But to be absolutely sure I tried it. Sex, with a woman.’ Laura smiled.
‘What was it like?’ Cydalia asked.
‘The truth?’ Laura asked.
The girls all nodded.
‘Sorry, but bloody awful.’ Laura admitted.
‘Its an acquired taste.’ Karen smiled.
‘I prefer men.’ Laura then said.
‘Which, did you have an orgasm with?’ Roberta asked, interested to know.
‘I’d never had one. Until I’d met David.’ Laura lightly swooned.

‘Exactly.’ Laura agreed.

‘I haven’t always been an author.’ this, was the story she was currently going around telling everyone, although not a complete lie, she just hadn’t got around to getting her work published quite yet. Yet. ‘Or wanted to be one.’ she confessed. ‘I was, up until a little while ago, a reporter.’ Cydalia sighed.
‘What…?’ exclaimed Roberta, Karen and Fara all together.
‘A reporter.’ Cydalia repeated, feeling like she had just said completely the wrong thing. Why hadn’t she just made something up? Something concerning Carlos? That could have done. After all, she was rather good at telling lies. Certain lies.
‘But you’re not anymore’ Laura smiled.
‘No.’ Cydalia shook her head, ‘you don’t seem too surprised.’
‘I’m not.’ said Laura.
‘You know? But…how?’ Cydalia asked.
‘A tape.’ Laura simply said.
‘You found it?’
‘That was you?’ Roberta asked at the same time.
‘At David’s.’ Laura nodded to Cydalia.
‘I’d lost it…’
‘You could have, re-interviewed.’ Laura then said.
‘I could have. Yes.’ Cydalia nodded, ‘but then I came to realise you’re all my friends and I couldn’t keep on with my job. So…I resigned.’ she shrugged.
‘Good for you.’ Laura hugged her.
‘Thanks.’ Cydalia lightly smiled, ‘I suppose.’ she then looked at Roberta, Karen and Fara, ‘that you all hate me now.’ she sighed.
‘Why would we?’ Fara asked her.
‘Because of my…former career.’ sighed Cydalia again.
‘Exactly. Former.’ Karen pointed out.
‘Anyway,’ Roberta smiled, ‘since you’ve known us, there hasn’t been any stories about us in the press. At all.’
‘I know. I mean…I’ve been told a few, but..’ Cydalia shrugged again.
‘But you never published them and that’s what counts.’ Karen hugged her, followed by Roberta and finally Fara.
‘Thanks girls.’ Cydalia smiled at them all.
Then all four girls looked at Fara. She sighed, ‘I can’t…I can’t marry Urs.’ she then told them all while looking at her feet. Scared to look at her friends faces in case she saw something in their eyes that she didn’t like.
‘Eh?’ asked Karen.
‘What…?’ Roberta came out with.
‘Why not honey?’ Laura asked.
‘I can’t have a…a sexless marriage.’ Fara sighed.
‘Since when is your marriage to Urs going to be sexless?’ Karen asked, ‘I thought you couldn’t keep your hands off each other.’
‘Not since he found out I’m pregnant…’
‘Oh honey.’ Cydalia hugged her.
‘So I’m going to call the wedding off…’ Fara sighed again.
‘But he loves you…’ Laura pointed out.
‘He won’t sleep with me!’ Fara cried, finally finding the courage to look at them all. They didn’t look any different. They just looked… concerned for her. Not pity. But concerned. That made Fara want to cry. But she couldn’t. She mustn‘t. Not in front of all her lovely friends who cared so much about her. Who loved her no matter what she said. No matter what she felt. They would stand by her. She realised that now.
‘He’s not read that book then?’ Roberta asked.
‘No. Not that I know of.’ Fara sighed yet again.
‘Stupid man.’ Cydalia exclaimed.
‘Its not like having sex can damage a pregnancy!’ Karen said.
‘He won’t even let me…masturbate.’ Fara then told them all.
‘So you’ve not had an orgasm…?’ Laura said.
‘Since the night before Urs found out I was pregnant.’
‘But that was over two months ago!’ Karen pointed out.

‘OK. OK.’ Karen hugged her again and then did Roberta, Laura and Cydalia.
All four girls thought Urs was plain crazy. Not having sex with Fara. She was a gorgeous, sexy girl. She deserved love and attention. A lot of love and attention. Every minute of every day. Stupid, stupid man. Bloody stupid man. No wonder she was upset and thinking of stopping her wedding. And who could blame her? Who could possibly blame her?
