*Chapter 24*

Meanwhile, Auds was sitting on a flight back to London. She had booked herself on the first flight back and was going to go see Simon when she got back to hand in her resignation. She wasn’t going to stay there though as she knew that would be the first place Urs would come looking for her, she was going to go somewhere he would never find her. She knew what David had told her about Jodie, but she had thought Urs would never fall for it. It didn’t matter to her that he had confessed all to her, it was the fact that he had done it in the first place. She had thought they were strong and nothing would come between them. But they obviously hadn’t been strong enough for him to go and sleep with someone else. She remembered the feeling in her stomach when he had told her and she never wanted to feel that again. She was going to miss him though, she wasn’t ever going to be able to completely forget him. She just wished she’d been able to say goodbye to David, Carlos, Seb and the girls. But she knew if she had gone to see them that they would have persuaded her to stay and try to work things out.

The next few days passed in a blur for Urs. He refused to talk to anyone and kept himself to himself. David had tried talking to Jodie, but she was being unusually quiet. She was surprised at how bad she was feeling and seeing how much it had affected Urs wasn't helping her feel any better. She wasn't used to this happening, usually once she had split the couple up the guy would stay with her until she had had enough of him and moved onto the next couple. But Urs wouldn't speak to her now, he wouldn't speak to anyone, he just went through the motions of working without putting any actual emotions in to it. Thankfully they had their last show that night in America and then they had a week before they had the shows in the UK. After the show Seb, Carlos, Urs, Sonia and Michelle were flying to London as they had a week of meetings about their 3rd album. David was going to fly back to his parents with Jodie for the night. He was sure she had had something to do with Auds leaving, but as he couldn't get either of them to talk he couldn't actually prove it. He would actually be glad to leave her there.

They had all arrived in London and gone to their various apartments, glad to be away from hotels, for a short time anyway. Urs had dumped his bags at his place then went straight round to Auds' flat. He knocked for ages, but she never appeared. Eventually one of her neighbours came out and said "She's not there, she hasn't been around for months now." Urs said "Thank you" then looking to see what the time was decided to go see Simon. He pulled up outside his house and sat there for ages before getting out and knocking on his door. Simon opened the door and said "I wondered when you would show up" then let him into the house. He led him through to the kitchen where they had all spent the day together. They sat down and before Urs could speak Simon said "What did you do Urs? Auds looked terrible when she came to see me the other day." Urs lowered his head and said "I honestly don't know, all i remember is waking up in bed with David's sister Jodie four days ago. I don't know if we actually did anything or not, but we were both naked." Simon sighed and said "And Auds found out?" Urs shook his head and said "I told her, i thought that if i told her we could work it through together and that we would be okay. But she wouldn't even talk to me, said that she couldn't and wouldn't put up with anymore heartache and then she walked away. I haven't seen or heard from her since then." He looked up at Simon who could see the pain etched all over Urs' face. He said "She came to see me at the office to hand in her resignation, she wouldn't tell me everything, just that she had had enough and didn't want to do it anymore. I knew it must have been bad as she looked worse than you do now." Urs looked at him and said "Did she say where she was going? She's not at her place and i really need to find her, to tell her how much i love her and that i can't live without her. Please Simon, if you know where she is, i have to see her." Simon shook his head sadly and said "I'm sorry, she never said where she was going, just that she needed to go somewhere to clear her head." They talked for a while longer, Urs telling him how he really felt and how he had to find Auds to tell her as well then he left as Simon reminded him about their meeting the next morning.

After he had shut the door and made sure he was gone he shouted up the stairs "He's gone, you can come down now" Auds appeared at the top of the stairs and said "Thanks Simon, for everything. I'm not ready to see him yet, i'm not sure if i ever will be." Simon put his arm round her shoulder as she reached the bottom of the stairs and said "He really is hurting over this, he looked almost as bad as you did when you came to the office." Auds looked at him and said "Its his own fault, he let himself fall under her spell, they all did, only David and myself knew there was something not right about her. I do miss the other guys though, maybe you could say goodbye to them for me when you see them all at the meeting tomorrow." Simon nodded and said "Sure, now lets have a coffee." Auds nodded and they walked through into the kitchen.

Urs was doing everything he could to find Auds, but he wasn’t getting anywhere and he was looking more and more terrible as each day passed. He wouldn’t eat anything unless he was forced to. Simon was watching him at the meetings and then going home and telling Auds what he was like and how he wasn’t giving up on his search for her. But she still refused to speak to him and told Simon that if he told him she was staying with him that she would just leave and then nobody would know where she was.
