*Chapter 37*

A few days later they were all back in London ready to start the recording, David included, Janice had finally lost it with him when he’d told her about his plan to stay in America with her and had told him exactly what he could do with that idea. They still hadn’t made up when he had left and he regretted that now.
He still hadn’t told the others yet, he’d wanted to see their faces when he told them all and was going to do it when they all met up later.

Sonia and Seb had just arrived at their apartment and were unpacking their things. They had pretty much arranged the whole wedding now, all that was left was to turn up and enjoy the day. They had sent all the invitations out earlier that week, but had brought the other guys, Simon’s and Steve’s with them to hand them out personally. Sonia looked at the time and said “Seb, hurry up, we’re going to be late for meeting the others if you don’t get out here right now.” He came through from the other room pulling on his jacket muttering away to himself in French. “SEB” said Sonia in shock. He looked up sheepishly and said “Sorry babe, I forgot you can understand me when I do that.” She laughed and said “I would assume that Urs and Carlos do as well, so it must be only David you do that around.” Seb grinned and nodded “Yep, we all do it! Its so funny sometimes, you can just see him wondering what we said and if it was about him.” Sonia shook her head and said “Poor David, I shall have to start teaching him French, so that he can understand you.” Seb pouted and said “Aww babe, that would spoil all my fun.” then he kissed her before she could say anything else then said “Come on then, we’ll be late if we stand around here all day!” and walked off leaving her standing there shaking her head.

They were all meeting up for dinner at Auds’ place, who was delighted to have them all back. Carlos, Michelle and Urs were already there, Michelle having apologised for her very sudden departure the other day! David arrived then with Seb and Sonia not far behind him. They were all sitting down with a few bottles of wine before dinner listening to each others stories about their holidays. When it came to Seb and Sonia she pulled a few envelopes out of her bag and said “You all know that we wouldn’t have the wedding without you guys, but we wanted to give you these anyway. Auds got hers and Urs’ first and she opened it and pulled out a Wedding Invitation.

“Aww, that is a lovely card Sonia, different, not your usual wedding type card.” Sonia grinned and said to Seb “See, I told you the girls would love it, he said that you wouldn’t care what the card was like as long as you got an invite!” Auds and Michelle laughed and Michelle said “Of course it matters, the invites are just as important as the rest of the wedding.” Seb shook his head and said “Women” then ducked as three cushion flew at him and the other guys laughed. David grinned and said “I’ll save you Seb, Janice and I have some news of our own, she’s sorry she can’t be here to tell you herself, but…..” he stopped and waited for a minute then said “She’s pregnant.” he put his hands over his ears as the three girls all screamed. “That’s awesome David, you must be so excited.” said Auds getting up and giving him a hug. He smiled broadly and said “I’m over the moon, we both are, although Janice isn’t actually speaking to me at the moment, she accused me of being overprotective and we had a big argument the day before I left.” Sonia sighed and said “What did you do?” David looked around him and said “Everything, literally, I wouldn’t let her do a thing around the house and kept telling her to go lie down.” The girls were all staring at him like he was mad and Michelle said “No wonder you fell out, she’s not sick David, she’s pregnant. She can still do everything she usually does and more probably.” David looked sheepish and said “Yeah, I realise that now, but she won’t talk to me and let me explain that to her.” He looked so sad that everyone just started laughing at him. He pouted and sat down in a huff ignoring them all. Auds went into the kitchen to get things ready and Sonia and Michelle followed her and gave her a hand. The guys sat down and tried to get David to smile again. They managed it after a while and were just about to start discussing the new stuff they were going to be recording when the girls appeared with the food and the wine. They all settled down and enjoyed the night being back together after two weeks apart.

A couple of days later they were all in the studio for their first day of recording and they were waiting for Simon to arrive with all the details and the backings for the songs which had already been recorded. He walked into the studio and said “Hello” to everyone. He sat down and took a look round at everyone, his gaze faltering slightly when it reached Urs and Auds. He looked down and shuffled the papers in front of him nervously. David grinned and said with a straight face “Seen something you shouldn’t have Simon?” Urs choked on the juice he’d just taken a drink of and Auds buried her head in her handbag looking for something she didn’t really need to cover her grin. Simon went bright red and looking at Urs who was still coughing said “Do you guys really have to tell each other everything?” Seb and Carlos were looking very confused and Seb said “What‘s going on? What have we missed?” David grinned and said “Simon walked in on Auds and Urs the other day when they were making love on her bed.” Simon groaned and put his head in his hands as Michelle said “You mean the day that Urs and Carlos arrived back early and you said the person who’d knocked at the door might have been Simon?” looking at Auds. She nodded and said “He turned up after you’d left and just walked in as the door hadn’t been shut and he thought something was wrong and came looking for me and found me and Urs with….” Simon cut her off then and said “Okay, I think they get the picture, can we get on with some work now?” Everyone looked at his face and burst out laughing. He shook his head and said “Please guys, can we just concentrate?” The laughter died down and they started to listen to Simon who was still looking awfully red in the face. They got started with only the occasional wink and funny looks passing between the guys. The girls settled down to watch as the guys went into the recording booth one by one and started working on the first track. They spent the next few hours just working on the one song trying different ways to make it sound the way they wanted it to. Simon sensing that things were going to progress well had left them to it and gone back to the offices.
