LATER THAT DAY AS MONEY STARTS POURING IN



Being at her first IL DIVO concert was indescribable for Dori. It was something she had never experienced before and she was unprepared for the roaring response of the crowd as the guys both started and finished a song.

The screaming, adoring fans of Sebastien’s blasted her ears and she couldn’t have been happier. She knew this was her and the twins’ future and this concert was helping her prepare for it all. It was and eye opening experience for her. She knew that the women loved Sebastien and all of the guys, but seeing it now, live, she could see why the guys loved performing so much and why Sebastien missed it. A love she knew existed, but didn’t fully understand until now - what it would mean for them to get back to touring with the new CD. It was what she could only describe as a subtle kind of intimacy as she watched the barriers between the guys and the fans melt away; something each of the guys has silently missed, not so much in their hearts, but their minds.

The guys loved their families and wives and never wanted to be away from them. As the wedding ceremony had occurred for each of them, this concert would be the unofficial ceremony representing the union of all of their loves: the music, performing, and family; hoping that the bliss from this union would carry them through not just today, but the tour season as well. Each knew that during that part of the journey, there would be times when they would be joined only in their heart and mind, other times with them being there to celebrate on the road with them.

Their second song was one they all agreed on to perform, dedicated not just to the audience but all of the people watching at home. To them, it summed up not only what they felt toward all of their fans, but also the gratitude they felt for the help everyone had made along the way.

This song was called “You’re the Inspiration” by the group Chicago. As they were singing it, the big screens behind them showed moments from past concerts, ones that showed them at their happiest. The crowd, hearing the song and seeing the memories flash before them, felt the warmth not just from the sun shining high in the sky, but the gentle musical hug that came so easily around them as they hummed along.

Dori had been at the concert from the start. She needed Sebastien to know she was there to support him, along with Siobhan, who had become everyone’s rock. She made them all feel stronger.

Siobhan loved Urs and she was always there to lend a hand whenever needed. With Urs, she was the calm one when his drive was the strongest. She was the voice saying “you can do this, but take your time and don’t push too hard or fast and it will come ……” For her, perfection was him and she showed him patience, love and understanding; always when he needed it the most. So for the concert, she was the one standing in the wings giving the thumbs up and showing them they were doing great. She knew how much the fans meant to the guys, as she had been a fan first.
